1. instructions for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment according to ElektroG

As manufacturers and distributors of electrical equipment, we have a duty to inform you, the end customer (owner of old equipment), of the following points:

• Owners of waste equipment must dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Waste electrical and electronic equipment must therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and, in particular, must not be disposed of in household waste. Instead, this waste equipment must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via the local collection and recycling systems.
• Owners of old devices are free to send them to our dispatch warehouse for disposal free of charge or to hand them in there.
• It is the owner's (end user's) own responsibility to delete or remove personal data from the waste equipment to be disposed of.
• Owners of WEEE are also obliged to separate and dispose of non-integrated batteries or accumulators and lamps that are not enclosed in the WEEE without destroying them before handing them over to a collection point. The latter shall not apply if the waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment in accordance with the second and third sentences of Section 14 (5) of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act within the framework of opting in by the public waste management authorities for the purpose of preparation for reuse in order to prepare it for reuse.

2. meaning of the symbol according to Annex 3 of the ElektroG

Electrical and electronic equipment is visibly, recognizably and permanently marked with a symbol in accordance with Annex 3 of the ElektroG. In this way, end consumers can identify waste equipment that is to be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment represents a crossed-out waste garbage can on wheels.
